Welcome to Center Township, Gibson County

Located in central-east Gibson County, Indiana, Center Township is made up of the town of Francisco, Indiana and is nestled along the corridor of Indiana 64 in between US-41 and I-69.

First settled in 1817, the township encompasses a total of 37.76 sq mi of area within Gibson County and has a total population of 1,317 as of the 2020 census.

Center Township is served by the East Gibson School Corporation and is 15 minutes away from the Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Indiana plant. The township also encompasses the Peabody Energy Francisco Mine.

The current township trustee is Christine McDonald.
